      Effective use of the first-stage evaporator in leaching plant is of great significance to the overall evaporation effect and heat energy saving. Aiming to provide theoretical reference for the production stability and the continuous improvement of the process, the basic characteristics of the miscella were introduced, two methods were cited to verify whether the first-stage evaporator was effectively utilized or not, and the problems that need to be paid attention to in the distillation process were summarised. The rationality of the effective use of the first-stage evaporator could be verified by the reasonableness of the negative pressure, and by examining whether the actual heat exchanger area was effectively utilized or not. Factory can make a preliminary judgement on the effective use of the first-stage evaporator through these two methods, and adjust the relevant process conditions accordingly. The effective use of the first-stage evaporator involves a number of process steps, and factors such as the evaporator inlet miscella concentration, the meal content in the secondary vapour, the impurity content in the miscella, the stability of condensing system and so on in the actual production need to be concerned to ensure the effective use of the first - stage evaporator.
