Statement of Publication Ethics and Publishing Malpractice of China Oils and Fats
China Oils and Fats follows the recognised code of ethics in publishing; it firmly opposes any form of plagiarism plagiarism, falsification, alteration, improper attribution, multiple submissions, citation manipulation, and other academic misconduct.
All responsible parties should observe publishing ethics, honesty, responsibility, professionalism and fairness in the process of academic publishing. and professionalism. Editors, authors and reviewers should fulfil the following responsibilities and follow other relevant rules and requirements of the journal.
I. Ethical Responsibilities and Requirements for Authors
1. Authors should submit original articles and honestly describe their original research without plagiarism or falsification of data.
2. Authors should not submit multiple manuscripts, i.e. authors should not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal at the same time, nor should they publish a manuscript describing the same research in more than one journal.
3. The content of the manuscript should be in line with the scope of the journal; in the peer review process, raw data must be provided when necessary.
4. All authors who have contributed to the conception, design, execution or interpretation of the study agree to the terms of copyright transfer as stated in the journal's public statement, and agree to the publication of their papers and data in the journal and their inclusion in the relevant databases.
5. They should acknowledge the sources of the data used in the study and cite literature that has had an impact on their research work, and are obliged to provide literature relevant to the manuscript.
6. If the research is funded, the full name of the funding source must be listed.
7. Ensure that any research involving humans and animals complies with national, local and institutional ethical requirements.
8. You may suggest reviewers or request to avoid specific reviewers when submitting a paper.
9. If an error is found in a published paper, you should inform the Editorial Office and co-operate with the Editor in errate or withdraw the paper.
10. Keep all communications with the journal confidential.
II. Ethical responsibilities and requirements of editors
1. Maintain academic ethics, adhere to the integrity of the journal, and build a good culture of scientific research integrity.
2. Use the "Academic Misconduct Literature Detection System for Science and Technology Journals (AMLC)" to detect and terminate suspected plagiarism, plagiarism, multiple submissions and other academic misconduct.
3. The editors will send the manuscripts to the reviewers in the relevant research areas for double-blind peer review; avoid the reviewers who have interests in the manuscripts, and avoid the designated reviewers according to the reasonable request of the authors.
4. The journal has the right to make decisions on acceptance or rejection independently, but not on the basis of the editor's personal opinion. Except for the discovery of serious errors or academic misconduct, the journal cannot change the decision already made.
5. The journal will treat special issues, columns, invited articles and other submissions equally, and will decide whether to accept or reject an article based on the quality of the article, regardless of other factors.
6. Provide authors with clear review comments or revisions, respond to authors' objections in a timely manner, and communicate effectively until a consensus is reached. Support authors to submit honest support materials related to academic research.
7. Collect evidence, investigate and collect evidence for published papers with problems. According to the seriousness of the error or academic misconduct, we will decide to errata or withdraw the paper and publish a statement on the website.
8. Protect the personal information of authors and reviewers, and keep the contents and data of manuscripts confidential before publication.
9. Treat readers, authors, reviewers and editorial board members, etc., fairly and objectively, without regard to their gender,race, religion, nationality, etc., and maintain friendly contact with all parties related to China Oils and Fats.
10. Answer questions from reviewers, readers, authors or others in a timely manner.
III. Ethical Responsibilities and Requirements of Reviewers
1. Maintain professional fairness, objectivity and impartiality, abandon professional bias, and do not seek private interests.
2. The editor should make a thorough assessment of the manuscript and give detailed and clear review comments in a timely manner, including acceptance or rejection, and specific suggestions for revision to the author.
3. Remind the editors that the manuscripts may have plagiarism, plagiarism, forgery, falsification, improper attribution, multiple submissions, and other academic misconduct.
4. Remind the editors of the excessive similarity between the reviewed manuscripts and published papers or manuscripts that have been submitted to other journals.
5. Reviewers should point out the existence of relevant works in the manuscript that have not yet been cited and published.
6. Do not disclose information about the manuscript; reviewers are not allowed to use the content and data of the manuscript under review before publication.
7. The review is anonymous and all information about the reviewers is hidden from the authors.
8. Have no conflict of interest (financial, institutional, or otherwise) with the study, the authors, and/or the funders of the study. When such a situation exists, you should actively recuse yourself.
9. Inform the Editor when the review is beyond the capacity of professional expertise, or when it cannot be completed within the allotted time, so that the manuscript can be sent to other reviewers.
IV. Handling of Papers Recognised as Academic Misconduct
1. The journal will notify the authors of the papers that are eventually found to be academic misconduct in a timely manner; the authors will be allowed to explain and defend themselves before a decision is made on the handling of the papers.
2. If the paper has been accepted but not formally published, the author will be informed that the paper will be withdrawn from the journal directly in the process of manuscript processing on the journal's website, and its acceptance will be cancelled.
3. If the paper has been formally published, the author will be notified in writing that the paper will be withdrawn. The author will be ordered to pay the reviewing fee and return the manuscript fee of the paper. If it causes any damage to the reputation of the journal, the journal will reserve the right to seek compensation.
4. If the situation is serious, we will publish the author's unit, name, and notice of withdrawal of the paper in the journal at a later date, and inform the author of the incident.
5. The authors of the papers with plagiarism, plagiarism, multiple submissions and all other academic misconducts will be listed in the journal's "black list" and disqualified from submitting papers to the journal again within 5 years.
6. If the author of the paper has any objection to the recognition and processing result of the journal, he/she can apply for review in writing within 7 working days from the date of receipt of the notification, after which the application will not be accepted. The Editorial Board will invite experts to review the paper and make a final decision, and inform the author of the review result within 20 working days.
V. Errors and Corrections
1. After the publication of the article, if any of the following situations occurs, the author should submit a written correction to the editorial office in time. If the errors are serious, the editorial office has the right to make a decision to withdraw the article.
(1) There is clear evidence that some of the results of the study are wrong due to misjudgement and experimental errors.
(2) Part of the research results have been published in other journals without citation or permission.
(3) Portions have subsequently been shown to be misleading.
(4) The list of authors/contributors was incorrect, including competent authors were omitted, those who were not eligible for copyright were included, and there was incorrect information about the workplace.
(5) Other clerical errors.
2. Correction or Withdrawal Announcement
(1) Timely publication to minimise adverse effects.
(2) Clearly identify the corrected or withdrawn article, including the title of the article and the author in the title of the announcement, listing the reasons, etc.
