China Oils and Fats

China Oils and Fats is an authoritative scientific and technical journal in China's oils and fats industry, the journal of the Oils and Fats Branch of the Chinese Society of Cereals and Oils, and an influential trade journal in the field of food and agricultural products processing in China. China Oils and Fats has documented and witnessed the development of “China Oil and Fats” industry for more than 40 years, and it has played an important role in the development of the oils and fats industry in China and the progress of technology, and it has gained a great reputation in the industry. China Oils and Fats (once known as Oils and Fats Industry, Oils and Fats Science and Technology), founded in 1976, is an important periodical in the oils and fats industry under the supervision of COFCO Engineering Science and Technology Company Limited and the sponsorship of COFCO Engineering Science and Technology (Xi'an) International Engineering Company Limited, which is open to public at home and abroad. In 1986, when Oils and Fats Branch was established, it was decided to change “Oils and Fats Science and Technology” into “China Oil and Fats” as the journal of Oils and Fats Branch. Until December 2021, 46 volumes and 370 issues have been published.

aims & scope

China Oils and Fats magazine mainly reports on the development of domestic and foreign oil and fat industry and the progress of oil and fat science and technology, and provides all-round reports on the storage of oilseeds and fats, pretreatment and processing of oilseeds, leaching and refining of oils and fats, comprehensive utilization of oils and fats by-products, deep processing of oils and fats, oils and fats safety, oils and fats nutrition, oils and fats chemistry and chemical industry, oils and fats inspection and chemical examination, as well as the management of oil processing enterprises, and the information of oils and fats market.

Advertising policy

China Oils and Fats has a separate advertising department, which is operated and calculated separately from the periodical department. The President directly directs and decides whether an advertisement will be published, and the advertisement is not related in any way to editorial decisions or the content of published papers. The audience of the advertisement is for the whole oil and fat industry, including the oil factory that have been built or have the intention to build, as well as customers who have needs in the processing of raw materials, oil refining, oil by-products development and research, biodiesel, etc.

Editorial Team

Wu Lirong : Editor-in-Chief, Senior Engineer, National Registered Consulting (Investment) Engineer, National Registered Supervision Engineer, graduated from the Department of Food Science and Engineering of Sichuan University in 1998, and then went to Xi'an Oils and Fats Scientific Research and Design Institute (now renamed COFCO ET (Xi’an) International Engineering Co.,Ltd.) in the same year, where  engaged in the R&D of new products, and then went to work for China Oils and Fats Magazine in 2003. During the period of work, the "efficient extraction technology of soybean isoflavone" completed as the main author won the National Key promotion project of Scientific and Technological achievements of the Ministry of Science and Technology and the third prize of Science and Technology of China Society of Grain and Oil. As the main accomplisher, the soft topic project of National Development and Reform Commission—11th Five-Year Plan:Research on Development Strategy of China's Edible Oil Industrywon the first prize of the Second Shaanxi Science and Technology Research Achievement Award.

Yang Danbai: Engineer, Art Editor, graduated from Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts in 2013 with a Bachelor's degree in Art and Design. On April 1, 2009,  joined China Oils and Fats Magazine of COFCO ET (Xi’an) International Engineering Co.,Ltd. and is mainly engaged in the unified edition and publication of China Oils and Fats Magazine, advertisement technology management, organization and operation of book review columns, distribution of journals, readers' service, and processing of journals' manuscripts.

Liu Kai: Senior Engineer. graduated from Henan University of Technology in 2009 with a double bachelor's degree in food science and engineering, business administration. 2019 worked in COFCO ET (Xi’an) International Engineering Co.,Ltd.He is mainly engaged in the new media operation of the official website of the journal, WeChat public number and the operation of the National Flaxseed Oil and Omega-3 Fats and Oils Industry Innovation Strategic Alliance.

Sun Xiaomei: Editor, graduated from Henan University of Technology in 2023 with a master's degree in food engineering, and in July 2023,  appointed as editor of China Oils & Fats magazine of COFCO ET (Xi’an) International Engineering Co.,Ltd. mainly engaged in editing, proofreading and updating the official website editorial platform of the journal.

Lu Caicai : Editor, graduated from Henan University of Technology in 2023 with a Master's Degree in Food Science and Engineering, majoring in the theory and technology of oil and grease production, and has been working as an editor of China Oils and Fats since July 2023 in COFCO ET (Xi’an) International Engineering Co.,Ltd. mainly engaged in editing and proofreading of journal manuscripts, as well as web publishing.

Feng Zhen : Editor, Senior Engineer, graduated from the Department of Food Science and Engineering of Sichuan University in 2004, and worked in Xi'an Oils and Fats Scientific Research and Design Institute (now renamed as COFCO ET (Xi’an) International Engineering Co.,Ltd.) in the same year, engaging in the research and design of oils and fats processing, and then worked in China Oils and Fats in 2015, mainly engaging in the editing, proofreading, and reviewing of the journal's manuscripts. 

 Hu Xiaohua: Responsible editor, senior engineer, National registered consulting (investment) engineer, second-class construction engineer. In 2008, graduated from the College of Life Sciences, Xinjiang University, majoring in Food Science and Engineering with a Master's degree in engineering. In the same year,worked in Xi 'an Oils Science Research and Design Institute (now renamed COFCO ET (Xi’an) International Engineering Co.,Ltd.), engaged in the research of oils processing and comprehensive utilization. In 2012, worked in China Oils and Fats. During the period of work, as the main author, the special projects of agricultural fund transfer of the Ministry of Science and Technology, "Pilot test of detoxification technology of Alcohol Rapeseed protein Concentrate" and "Development and transformation of key technologies and equipment of New mixed solvent rapeseed oil leaching" have passed acceptance; The science and Technology innovation project of Shaanxi Province, "Research on Zero discharge Technology of oil leaching wastewater of Vegetable Oil Enterprises" and "New process for Preparation of high-purity alpha-linolenic acid ethyl Ester", which was completed as the main author, has passed the identification of Shaanxi Provincial Science and Technology Department; The research and industrialization of processing technology of characteristic agricultural products of Shaanxi Province Science and Technology Plan project completed by the main author, "Development of detoxification technology of alcohol rapeseed protein Concentrate" project has passed acceptance. In addition, as the main person to participate in the formulation of enterprise standards, enterprise patent preparation and so on.
