Abstract:
      The characteristics of sulfonated fatty acid methyl ester(MES)including the excellent washing,hard water resistance,biodegradation,hydrolysis,foaming capacity etc.were introduced,and the status of the research and development of MES at home and abroad were summarized.In addition,the current technical problems of MES in production were described.According to the status of the scarce resources in China,the trend and prospect of MES were put forward.
