Abstract:
      The influences of alkali refining conditions of rice bran miscella on increasing the alkali refining yield and reducing the loss rates of oryzanol and sterols were investigated. The results showed that the crude rice bran oil with high acid value refined by miscella alkali refining had higher alkali refining yield and lower loss rates of oryzanol and sterols than that refined by alkali refining. The optimal alkali refining conditions of rice bran miscella were obtained as follows:alkali refining temperature 55℃, total alkali dosage theoretical alkali dosage with 0.3% of exceeding alkali dosage (based on the oil mass), miscella concentration 40%, mass fraction of lye 11.06%. Under these conditions, the alkali refining yield of rice bran miscella was 71.62% and the loss rates of oryzanol and sterols were 63.22% and 43.76%, respectively. Comparing with alkali refining of crude rice bran oil, the alkali refining yield increased by 16.48%, and the loss rates of oryzanol and sterols decreased by 30.56% and 21.41%, respectively.
