Abstract:
The oxidation stabilities of seven common biodiesels were studied, and the effects of ten antioxidants on oxidation stability of Jatropha curcas L. biodiesel were analyzed. The results showed that only the oxidation stability of palm oil biodiesel reached the national standard of biodiesel. The antioxidative effects of VC and VE were poor and their addition amounts had little effect on the oxidation stability of Jatropha curcas L. biodiesel;the antioxidative effect of gallic acid (GAM) was good, but its oil solubility was weak; high dosage TBHQ had great effect on the oxidation stability of Jatropha curcas L. biodiesel, and the antioxidative effects of L-ascorbyl dipalmitare(AP)and TBHQ on crude and refined Jatropha curcas L. biodiesel were quite different; the antioxidative effects of low dosage methyl gallate(MT),propyl gallate(PG),octyl gallate(OG),BHA and BHT on Jatropha curcas L. biodiesel were great, which were ideal antioxidants.
