Abstract:
      As a renewable replacement for paraffin, vegetable oil plays an important role in environmental protection and human health. The advantages and disadvantages of application of vegetable oil in candle were summarized. Based on the related theory of oil crystallization, the major impact factors of appearance of vegetable oil-based candle and the methods to improve candle quality were discussed, the combustion properties of vegetable oil-based candle and paraffin-based candle were compared, and the application of vegetable oil in candle was prospected．
