The fatty acid contents of seven vegetable oils (soybean oil, corn oil, walnut oil, sunflower seed oil, high oleic sunflower seed oil, palm oil and coconut oil) often used in infant formula milk powder were determined, and linoleic acid, linolenic acid and oleic acid,as the important indicators of fatty acid were analyzed. Furthermore, these results were compared with the fatty acid compositions of three noval vegetable oils(double-low rapeseed oil, rice bran oil and safflower seed oil), and the applications of the noval vegetable oils in infant formula milk powder were discussed. |
