The p-toluene sulfonic acid loaded on activated carbon (p-TSA/AC) was prepared by impregnation method to catalyze the esterification of waste cooking oil and methanol to obtain biodiesel. Then the performance of the biodiesel obtained was measured. The optimal esterification conditions were obtained by single factor experiment and orthogonal experiment as follows: molar ratio of methanol to oil 20∶1, dosage of catalyst 4%, reaction temperature 70℃ and reaction time 4 h. Under these conditions, the esterification rate of waste cooking oil reached 95.86%. Meanwhile, the performance of the biodiesel prepared met the national standard of biodiesel. |
