Total saponins were extracted from the seed husk of Xanthoceras sorbifolia Bunge by ultrasound assisted extraction method. The effects of volume fraction of ethanol, ultrasonic power, ratio of solid to liquid, extraction time and extraction temperature on the extraction rate of total saponins were investigated. Based on single factor experiment, with volume fraction of ethanol, ultrasonic power, ratio of solid to liquid those most significantly affected the extraction rate of total saponins as influencing factors, extraction rate of total saponins as response value, the response surface experiment was conducted by the Box-Behnken design and the regression model was established. The results showed that the optimal extraction conditions were obtained as follows: volume fraction of ethanol 73%, ultrasonic power 220 W, ratio of solid to liquid 1∶30. Under the optimal conditions, the extraction rate of total saponins reached 0.30% when extraction temperature and extraction time were 50℃ and 90 min respectively. |
