Abstract:
Melon seed oil was extracted by supercritical CO2 extraction technology. Based on the single factor experiment, orthogonal experimental design was employed to optimize process parameters. The results showed that the optimal extraction conditions were obtained as follows: extraction pressure 30 MPa, extraction temperature 45℃, extraction time 5 h, flow rate of CO2 8 L/min, particle size of melon seed 24 meshes. Under these conditions, the yield of melon seed oil was 29.34%. Fatty acid composition of melon seed oil was identified by GC-MS, and the results indicated that melon seed oil extracted by supercritical CO2 contained twelve kinds of fatty acids, and linoleic acid (64.29%), oleic acid (16.64%), palmitic acid (10.87%) and stearic acid (5.57%) were the main fatty acids in melon seed oil.
