Lipid-lowering effect of perilla seed oil in combination with safflower seed oil

Abstract:
      The hyperlipidemia model was established by feeding mice with high fat diet, and the influence of perilla seed oil mixed with safflower seed oil in a mass ratio of 1∶1 on the blood lipid level of hyperlipidemia mice was researched, and the effect was compared with the perilla oil soft capsule on sale. The results showed that the mixture of perilla seed oil and safflower seed oil could significantly reduce the levels of cholesterol (TC) and triglyceride (TG)(p＜0.01)and content of low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C)(p＜0.05)of hyperlipidemia mice, markedly increase the ratio of high density lipoprotein cholesterol to total cholesterol (HDL-C/TC)(p<0.01), and reduce the arterial stiffness index (AI)(p<0.01);comparing with perilla oil soft capsule group, these effects were better.
