The catalytic performance of self-made high temperature-resistant strong acid cation exchange resin in esterification of tung oil was studied. The physical structures of polymerization, halogenation and sulfonation copolymers in the process of preparation of high temperature-resistant strong acid cation exchange resin were characterized by ASAP2400 adsorption meter. The results showed that comparing with conventional resin catalyst, the pore volume of the high temperature-resistant strong acid cation exchange resin was bigger, and the distribution of its pore diameter was narrower; under the reaction conditions of reaction temperature 75℃, molar ratio of methanol to tung oil 8∶1 and feeding space velocity of oil 1.0 h-1, the esterification rate of tung oil was above 93% with high temperature-resistant strong acid cation exchange resin as catalyst, which was higher than that with conventional resin as catalyst, and the life of the catalyst was over 1 500 h with better stability. |
