Seventy-five rice samples that widely produced in 2013 were collected from nine cities in Hunan province, then the rice bran was separated to extract rice bran oil, and the contents of oryzanol in the different kinds of crude rice bran oils were analyzed by high performance liquid chromatography. The results showed that the average content of oryzanol in the crude rice bran oil from early indica rice was 179%, which was higher than 1.57% of middle-late indica rice; the average content of oryzanol in the crude rice bran oil from high quality rice was 1.67%, which was close to 1.65% of ordinary rice; the average content of oryzanol in the crude rice bran oil from high quality early indica rice (1.86%) was higher than that of ordinary early indica rice (1.75%), while there was no difference in the average contents of oryzanol in crude rice bran oils from high quality middle-late indica rice (1.58%) and ordinary middle-late indica rice (1.56%) . |
