Abstract: |
The function of combined use of phytosterol ester and puerarin on lipid-lowering of hyperlipidemia mice was studied. Kunming mice were fed with high-fat diet, and hyperlipidemia mice model was established. The successful modeling mice were divided into 5 groups according to total cholesterol and weight:hyperlipidemia model group, phytosterol ester group, puerarin group, combination group of phytosterol ester and puerarin, simvastatin group. The mice were fed with high-fat diet and administrated for 5 weeks with different doses of phytosterol ester, puerarin and simvastatin. The weight, atherogenic index(AI),hepatic index(HI),triglyceride(TG),total cholesterol(TC),high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) and low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) of mice were detected. The results showed that compared with hyperlipidemia model group, the TG,TC,LDL-C,AI and HI of the combination group of phytosterol ester and puerarin significantly decreased (P<0.05) by 24.22%,28.01%,21.17%,67.68% and 15.34% respectively, while HDL-C significantly increased by 45.51% (P<0.05). The combined use of phytosterol ester and puerarin could reduce the TG,TC,LDL-C,AI and HI of hyperlipidemia mice than single use,and there were significant differences in some indexes. It was declared that the combined use of phytosterol ester and puerarin could efficiently reduce blood lipid and had better effect on the treatment of hyperlipidemia than single use. |
