Abstract: |
The hydrolysis of palm oil catalyzed by acid was studied. The effects of reaction time, reaction temperature, catalyst dosage, mass ratio of oil to water and emulsifier dosage on the hydrolysis of palm oil were investigated. The optimal reaction conditions of palm oil hydrolysis were obtained as follows:reaction time 7 h,reaction temperature 100℃,mass ratio of oil to water 1∶1,dosage of sulfonic acid used as emulsifier 0.5% and catalyst(concentrated sulfonic acid) dosage 7.5%. Under the optimal reaction conditions, the acid value of the hydrolysates was up to 192.77 mgKOH/g and the hydrolysis rate of palm oil was 91.96%. A circulated hydrolysis process was designed, then the recycling of hydrolysates was realized, and the content of glycerin in the aqueous phase increased. |
