Using self-made micro tube press tester with pressure data acquisition system, the effects of pressing pressure, pressing speed and pressing time on the oil yield of cold press of castor seed were studied. The results showed that moderate pressure and stress could make the oilseeds crush to form necessary channels for oil migrating in a continuously open state, and the oil could migrate from the oilseeds pores with a proper pressing time, finally high oil yield could be obtained. Considering the efficient pressing and economically feasible, the optimal operation conditions were obtained as follows: pressing pressure 25 MPa, pressing speed 2.2 mm/s and pressing time 20 min, and the oil yield of cold press of castor seed was higher than 60% under these conditions. |
