Abstract: |
Natural vitamin E was separated and purified from palm oil deodorizer distillate by silica gel column chromatography. The effects of eluent, elution volume, flow rate of elution and loading amount on separation efficiency were investigated with content and recovery rate of natural vitamin E as evaluation indexes. The results showed that the optimal separation conditions were obtained as follows:with 1 BV cyclohexane,1 BV 5% methyl tert-butyl ether-cyclohexane,1 BV 30% methyl tert-butyl ethe-cyclohexane and 2 BV methyl tert-butyl ether as gradient eluent, flow rate of elution 0.75 BV/h and loading amount 15% of silica gel mass. Under the optimal conditions, the content of natural vitamin E after purification by silica gel column chromatography increased from 8.17% to 52.29% with recovery rate above 80%. It provided a simple and efficiency method for the separation and purification of natural vitamin E from palm oil deodorizer distillate. |
