Abstract: |
The antioxidants in tea flower were extracted by ethanol. The extract was concentrated and added to tea seed oil. The content of ethanol in tea seed oil was controlled within the limitation of national standard by vacuum drying. The antioxidant effect of tea flower extract was compared with tea flower soaked in tea seed oil,and common antioxidants. A contrast experiment was carried out using commercial tea polyphenols to replace tea flower. The results indicated that the oxidative stability of tea seed oil was significantly improved by tea flower extract. Especially, the effect of tea flower extract added with ethanol as carrier was better. The antioxidant ability of tea flower extract was better than that of BHA and BHT,comparable to that of lipid-soluble catechins, but weaker than that of TBHQ. In addition, compared with soaking directly, the contents of catechin and flavonoids in tea seed oil increased through addition of tea flower extract with ethanol as carrier. The phenomenon was confirmed by the contrast experiment of commercial tea polyphenols. |
