Abstract:
      Sumac fruit seeds collected from different areas and years were extracted by Soxhlet extraction,then the main components in sumac fruit seed and qualities of sumac fruit seed oil were determined and analyzed. The results showed that the contents of crude oil,crude protein and crude fiber in sumac fruit seed were 9.41%-11.21%,15.40%-19.38% and 31.50%-32.72%,respectively. The color of sumac fruit seed oil was dark yellow. The acid value and peroxide value of sumac fruit seed oil were 5.4-7.3 mgKOH/g and 0.9-1.2 mmol/kg,respectively. The differences of fatty acid composition of sumac fruit seed oil from different areas were unconspicuous,and the main fatty acids were linoleic acid (75.03%-75.37%),oleic acid (12.58%-12.94%),palmitic acid (7.93%-8.05%),stearic acid (2.05%-2.12%) and α-linolenic acid (1.24%-1.32%).The sumac fruit seed oil contained 1 007.3-1 062.0 mg/kg of vitamin E,0.30%-0.42% of sterol and 0.807%-0.873% of phospholipids. Sumac fruit seed oil could be used as a nutrient-rich and high quality edible oil after refining.
