Abstract:
      Bleaching is a difficult link in the process of refining of trichosanthes seed oil. The trichosanthes seed oil was bleached using activated clay. The bleaching rate of trichosanthes seed oil was measured, and the effects of different bleaching processes on the bleaching rate were also discussed. The results showed that the effect of phospholipase degumming-deacidification-bleaching process was ideal. The optimal bleaching conditions were obtained by single factor experiment as follows: dosage of activated clay 14 g/100 g, bleaching temperature 95?℃ and bleaching time 20 min. Under these conditions，the bleaching rate reached 98.5%.
