The effects of Elaeagnus mollis Diels. seed oil on the antioxidant capacity and lipid metabolism of Kunming mice were studied. Thirty six-weeks old male Kunming mice were randomly divided into three groups:control group, peanut oil group, Elaeagnus mollis Diels. seed oil group. After continuous feeding for six weeks, the weight, antioxidant capacity and lipid metabolism level of mice were measured. The results showed that compared with peanut oil group, the Elaeagnus mollis Diels. seed oil could significantly reduce the weight and the levels of blood TC, TG, LDL-C, MDA and mRNA expression of ApoE in hepatic of mice. In addition, the T-AOC and activities of SOD, GSH-Px and CAT in blood and hepatic of mice were significantly increased, and the mRNA expression of CPT-Ⅰ and blood HDL-C were also significantly increased. These data suggested that the Elaeagnus mollis Diels. seed oil rich in unsaturated fatty acid and VE could improve the antioxidant capacity and ameliorate the lipid metabolism, and it was a kind of very healthy and safety edible oil. |
