Abstract: |
Chia(Salvia hispanica) seed with super fertility introduced into China easily formed the dominant population, and destructed the ecological system. Therefore, the Chia(Salvia hispanica) should be introduced after the seeds were inactivated. Chia(Salvia hispanica) seed lost vitality because of irradiation, and the effects of irradiation on crude Chia(Salvia hispanica) seed oil quality were studied. The results showed that the irradiation could delay Chia(Salvia hispanica) seed germination, and the germination rate decreased with irradiation dose increasing. The germination rate of Chia(Salvia hispanica) seed decreased to 0 after 10 kGy treatment. The acid value of crude Chia(Salvia hispanica) seed oil with 10 kGy irradiation increased significantly(P<0.05)(still in accordance with the first level standard of linseed oil) compared with no irradiation, peroxide value and the fatty acid composition had no significant difference(P>0.05).The quality of crude Chia(Salvia hispanica) seed oil after irradiation was high, in accordance with the first level standard of linseed oil. |
