Abstract: |
The seed powder of Punica gramatum was pretreated by adding different amounts of anhydrous ethanol and vitamin E, and the effects of pretreatment methods on indexes and antioxidation of Punica gramatum seed oil by supercritical CO2 extraction were investigated. The results showed that fresh Punica gramatum seed with short storage time should be selected as material. After vitamin E pretreatment, the yield of Punica gramatum seed oil and contents of punicic acid and vitamin E in the oil increased, while acid value and peroxide value decreased. The Punica gramatum seed oil added with 0.3% vitamin E had the highest antioxidant efficiency, reaching 38.7%. Adding 0.3% vitamin E to Punica gramatum seed powder before supercritical CO2 extraction was effective method for obtaining Punica gramatum seed oil with strong antioxidation. |
