Abstract: |
In order to meet the requirement of rapid determination of wax content in rapeseed oil, a new method for the determination of wax content in rapeseed oil by turbidity instrument was established, according to the wax in vegetable oil would crystallize and precipitate at low temperature and the turbidity would change. The effects of solvents, volume ratio of solvent to oil and cooling time on wax content in rapeseed oil were investigated. The results showed that the optimal conditions were obtained as follows: with acetone as solvent, volume ratio of solvent to oil 1∶1 and cooling time 30 min. Under the optimal experimental conditions, when the wax content was 0-250 mg/kg, the linear equation of the method was Y=0.078 7X-0.036 5, R2=0.999. The recovery of standard addition was 87.84%-110.42%, and RSD was 1.13%-2.89%. The method had excellent feasibility and accuracy, and was easy for operators to analyze. It could be used for the routine monitoring of wax content in factory. |
