Abstract: |
The effects of silica gel, activated clay and activated carbon on the bleaching of modified soybean oil were studied. The optimal bleaching conditions of silica gel were systematically investigated from the aspects of silica gel dosage, bleaching temperature and bleaching time. In addition, the changes of properties of modified soybean oil after bleaching were investigated, including kinematic viscosity, acid value and pour point. The results showed that the bleaching effect of silica gel was the best under the same condition. Under the conditions of silica gel dosage 1.0%, bleaching temperature 60?℃ and bleaching time 3 h, the bleaching rate of silica gel could reach 37.5%. The kinematic viscosity of modified soybean oil after bleaching reduced from 123.7 mm2/s to 117.3 mm2/s at 40?℃ as well as reduced from 20.9 mm2/s to 16.8 mm2/s at 100?℃, the pour point decreased from 34.3?℃to 26.5?℃, and the acid value reduced from 9.9 mgKOH/g to 9.0 mgKOH/g. |
