Abstract: |
In order to study the influence of biodiesel in biodiesel - ethanol - diesel fuel mixture on diesel engine performance in the plateau environment, pure diesel, B15E3 (volume fractions of biodiesel, ethanol and diesel 15%, 3% and 82%) and B25E3 (volume fractions of biodiesel, ethanol and diesel 25%, 3% and 72%) were chosen to try combustion in diesel engines YN30CR. Under the working condition of the maximum torque speed, combustibility, economy and emission differences of the three kinds of fuels were compared. The results showed that the engine power performance declined when burning blended fuel, the decrease was obvious when burning B25E3 the peak value of cylinder pressure dropped by 1 MPa, and the peak value of pressure rising rate dropped by 0.14 MPa/°CA. When burning B15E3 and B25E3, the peak value of instantaneous heat release rates reduced by 4.8% and 5.6% respectively compared with pure diesel, their equivalent fuel consumptions were lower than pure diesel, and the fuel economy improved. Under the low and middle load, the equivalent fuel consumption of pure diesel was the highest, and the equivalent fuel consumption of B25E3 was lower than that of B15E3. Under high load, the equivalent fuel consumption of B25E3 was slightly higher than that of B15E3. After burning B15E3 and B25E3, smoke emission was lower than pure diesel combustion, and B25E3 improved higher than B15E3. With the load increasing, the improvement of smoke emission was more obvious. |
