The effects of tea polyphenols on blood lipid metabolism and contents of MDA and T-SOD in liver tissue of hyperlipidemia rat were researched to preliminary study the effect of tea polyphenols on hyperlipidemia fatty liver. Rats were feed with high fat diet for four weeks to establish hyperlipidemia model, then the rats were randomly divided into different groups, and gavaged for two weeks. The total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C) and low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C) in rats serum were detected, and the malondialdehyde (MDA) content and total superoxide dismutase (T-SOD) activity in rats serum and liver tissue and histopathology in rats liver tissue were examined. The results showed that compared with high fat model group, tea polyphenols high and middle dose groups could obviously decrease the contents of TC,TG and LDL-C levels(P<0.01,P<005),while increase HDL-C level(P<0.01) in rats serum, significantly decrease MDA content and increase T-SOD activity in rats serum and hepatic tissue(P<0.01). Tea polyphenols high dose group could significantly decrease hepatocellular steatosis. So tea polyphenols could obviously improve blood lipid level and antioxidant effect, and had dose-effect relationship. |
