Abstract: |
The switchable hydrophilic solvent DMCHA was used to extract algae oil from both algae mud and dry powder of Phaeodactylum tricornutum without distillation process, and the fucoxanthin contents in algae oils extracted by DMCHA method, Folch method and ethanol method were compared. The results showed that under the conditions of ratio of solid to liquid 1∶?25 and extraction time 24 h, the extraction rates of algae oil from dry powder and algae mud were 21.29% and 13.29% respectively. After the oil extraction, the surface structure of Phaeodactylum tricornutum was obviously damaged. The fucoxanthin content in algae oil extracted by DMCHA method was 9.17 mg/g, which was close to Folch method and lower than ethanol method. It was found by nuclear magnetic analysis that the solvent residue in the algae oil was only 0.231% of the addition amount of the extraction solvent, and the recovery rate of solvent was 93.2%. |
