Abstract: |
The sodium oleate was used as a model compound to react with epichlorohydrin in the presence of phase transfer catalyst tetrabutyl ammonium bromide to prepare terminal epoxy oleate, the effects of meterial molar ratio, reaction temperature and reaction time on the reaction were discussed, and the structure of product was verified by 1H NMR and 13C NMR. The results demonstrated that the terminal epoxy group was succesfully introduced to the product, and the terminal epoxy oleate with yield of 96% was obtained under the optimal conditions of molar ratio of sodium oleate to epichlorohydrin 1∶?20, reaction temperature 70?℃, and reaction time 8 h. In addition, the terminal epoxy fatty acid ester from soapstock of rubber seed oil was prepared under the same conditions, the structure of product was analyzed by Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR). The results showed that the terminal epoxy group was introduced into the product structure while retaining the double bond in the fatty acid ester structure, and the terminal epoxy fatty acid ester yield was 80%. |
