Abstract: |
Tung oil fatty acid methyl esters were prepared from tung oil by transesterification reaction, and the C18 unsaturated fatty acid methyl esters were separated from tung oil fatty acid methyl esters by urea adduction fractionation method with absolute ethanol as solvent. Taking the content and yield of C18 unsaturated fatty acid methyl esters as evaluation indexes, the effects of urea dosage, absolute ethanol dosage, adduction fractionation temperature and adduction fractionation time on the separation effect were investigated. The preparation conditions were optimized by orthogonal experiment, and the solvent properties of C18 unsaturated fatty acid methyl esters were determined. The results showed that urea dosage was the main factor affecting content of C18 unsaturated fatty acid methyl esters, and the optimal preparation conditions were obtained as follows: mass ratio of urea to tung oil fatty acid methyl esters 1∶?1, ratio of absolute ethanol volume to fatty acid methyl esters mass 5∶?1, adduction fractionation temperature 5?℃ and adduction fractionation time 18 h. Under these conditions, the content and yield of C18 unsaturated fatty acid methyl esters were 99.28% and 5493% respectively. The flash point (190?℃) and boiling point (320?℃) of the C18 unsaturated fatty acid methyl esters were high, the volatile organic compounds were not detected, and the KB value was 59, which proved that it was an environmentally friendly solvent. |
