Abstract: |
Rotary combined multi-layer sieve is an efficient cleaning equipment for grain and oil seed. Based on the 3D modeling software, a three-dimensional solid model of the rotary combined multi-layer sieve was established. Based on the discrete element simulation software EDEM, the movement of wheat in the screening process was simulated. The movement parameters of the sieve body (rotary radius, rotation frequency and tilt angle of screen surface) were changed, and the movements of wheat particles and impurity particles in the material were obtained by post-processing of the data. The influences of various parameters on material advancing speed, impurity removal rate and wheat extraction rate were analyzed. The results showed that under the conditions of rotary radius 20-25 mm, rotation frequency 6-7 Hz and tilt angle of screen surface 6°-8°, the material advancement speed was fast and the processing volume was large with high impurity removal efficiency and low lost of wheat. It could provide data support for the simulation study of the rotary combined multi-layer sieve. |
