The composition of functional lipids from longan seeds and its cell proliferation activity were studied. Using longan seeds as raw material, the functional lipids CEP-2 rich in phytosterols and ceramides were obtained by ultrasound-assisted extraction, liquid-liquid partitioning (chloroform), and silica column chromatography. Furthermore, the functional components in lipids were qualitatively and quantitatively analyzed. Finally, the effects of functional lipids on proliferation activity of human skin fibroblasts (HSF) and human immortalized keratinocytes (HaCaT) cell lines were investigated. The results showed that CEP-2 mainly contained triterpenoids, ceramides, tannins and phenols, and the contents of total sterol and ceramide were 518.26 mg/g and 2.65 mg/g respectively. When the mass concentration of CEP-2 was 40 μg/mL, the proliferation rate of HSF cells was 105.28%. However, CEP-2 showed significant cell proliferative activity on HaCaT cells (p<0.001) at the mass concentration of 100 μg/mL, and the proliferation rate was 114.21%. |
