Abstract:
      The crude ash, moisture, crude protein, crude fat, and amino acid compositions of Wei safflower seed and cake were measured and analyzed,and the fatty acid composition of Wei safflower seed oil was detected. The results showed that the crude ash contents of Wei safflower seed and cake were 4.28% and 3.53% respectively, the moisture contents were 650% and 6.68%, the crude protein contents were 18.82% and 20.27%, and the crude fat contents were 19.84% and 4.32% respectively. The amino acid composition analysis of Wei safflower cake showed that the contents of proline and glutamic acids were high, followed by aspartic acid, glycine, leucine, arginine and alanine, while the lysine and sulfur-containing amino acid contents were relatively low. The Wei safflower seed oil mainly contained unsaturated fatty acids, and linoleic acid content reached 77.60%. The Wei safflower seed oil was composed of many unsatured fatty acids, and Wei safflower seed cake had high quality protein, which were ideal source of energy and protein feeds.
