Abstract: |
The preparation process of peony seed oil microcapsule was studied by complex coacervation method. Taking the encapsulation rate as the evaluation index, orthogonal experiment was used to optimize the preparation process, and the peony seed oil microcapsule was characterized. The results showed that the optimal preparation conditions were obtained as follows: gelatin mass 2 g, mass ratio of arabic gum to gelatin 1∶?1, mass ratio of wall material to peony seed oil 1∶?0.2, amount of curing agent 5 mL, emulsification shear rate 4 000 r/min. Under these conditions, the encapsulation rate was 99.5%. The peony seed oil microcapsule had appropriate size, regular shape and uniform distribution. Its average particles was 12.28 μm, and particles below 38 μm reached 9806%. Zeta potential was -19.1 mV. IR results showed that the absorption peak of microcapsule was weaker than that of peony seed oil, indicating that the core was well encapsulated. DSC analysis results showed that peony seed oil microcapsule appeared sharp endothermic peak around 63?℃, reaching phase transition temperature, which had good thermal stability. |
