Abstract: |
Branched chain fatty acids are mainly saturated fatty acids, which have one or more branched chains on their carbon skeletons, and methyl is the most common branched chain. Special branched structure and saturation state make branched chain fatty acid unique physicochemical properties. Branched chain fatty acids are closely related to inflammation, but most of the studies on branched chain fatty acids in China still focus on the milk and meat products of ruminants such as cattle and sheep, and there is few study on branched chain fatty acids related to humans. The structure and distribution characteristics of branched chain fatty acids, and the main physiological functions and mechanisms of branched chain fatty acids were summarized, and the relationships between breast milk, feeding mode, neonatal necrotizing enterocolitis and branched chain fatty acids were explored. It was suggested that the development of dietary supplements for pregnant women with branched chain fatty acids or the development of new anticancer drugs with branched chain fatty acids as raw materials was the future research direction. |
