Abstract: |
With male BALB/C mice as the experimental objects, the inhibition effect of transdermal absorption of evening primrose oil on the body weight growth of mice was explored by determination of body weight, body length, fat weight, blood biochemical indexes,mRNA expressions of key regulators of hepatic lipid metabolism and observation of the size of adipocytes. The results showed that compared with olive oil group, evening primrose oil could significantly inhibit the growth of body weight of mice, and lower genital surrounding fat weight, fat coefficient and Lees index. The diameters of adipocytes in evening primrose oil group were obviously smaller. The contents of TG,TC and LDL in serum and the expression levels of ACC,FAS,LPL,SREBP1-C and HMGCR mRNA decreased, and the expression levels of HSL,CPT1 and LDL-R mRNA increased by smearing evening primrose oil. After transdermal absorption of evening primrose oil,it could regulate the pathway of hepatic fat metabolism, promote the oxidative decomposition of body fat to inhibit the body weight growth of male mice and reduce the lipid content in serum. |
