| Ancient oil pressing technology is an important component of Chinese traditional skills intangible cultural heritage. Its oil production methods and technical characteristics embody the spirit of ancient Chinese science and technology. The methods of oil production in ancient China were reviewed, the technical characteristics were summarized, and the nutritive properties and safety of oil pressed by ancient methods were expounded. On this basis, the cultural connotation of intangible cultural heritage of ancient oil pressing was dug out, and suggestions were put forward to realize its productive protection by establishing brand awareness of “intangible cultural heritage” and establishing the association between the traditional process and modern technology, so as to promote the transformation of ancient oil pressing intangible cultural heritage from cultural resources to economic resources. |
