Abstract:
      The liquid fuel characteristics such as low temperature fluidity, ignition and combustion performance, lubrication performance of biodiesel are of great significance for its commercial application and rapid development. With 16 kinds of biodiesels and 0# diesel as research objects, their liquid fuels characteristics were experimentally studied. The results showed that the density of 16 kinds of biodiesels was 2.86%-11.69% higher than that of 0# diesel, and the density of linseed oil biodiesel and castor seed oil biodiesel did not accord with the national standard of biodiesel in China.The kinematic viscosities of 16 kinds of biodiesels met the national standard of biodiesel in China and they were higher than that of 0# diesel. Among the 16 kinds of biodiesels, the cold filter plugging points of peanut oil biodiesel and palm oil biodiesel were higher than that of 0# diesel, and the rest were lower than that of 0# diesel. The cetane numbers of 16 kinds of biodiesels were higher than that of 0# diesel and calorific value were lower than that of 0# diesel, and the cetane numbers of sunflower seed oil biodiesel, rapeseed oil biodiesel and corn oil biodiesel did not accord with the national standard of biodiesel in China. Except the distillation range of palm oil biodiesel was lower than that of 0# diesel, all the others were higher than that of 0# diesel, and the distillation range of linseed oil biodiesel and castor seed oil biodiesel did not accord with the national standard of biodiesel in China. The carbon residue and ash content of castor seed oil biodiesel did not accord with the national standard of biodiesel in China. The mechanical impurities of soybean oil biodiesel, cottonseed oil biodiesel, rubber seed oil biodiesel and castor seed oil biodiesel did not accord with the national standard of biodiesel in China. The wear scar diameter of 16 kinds of biodiesels were lower than that of 0# diesel, but the difference was not significant.
