Abstract:
The effects of UV radiation on the growth, photosynthetic performance and lipid accumulation of Chlorella vulgaris were studied under the radiation dose of 0-80 mJ/cm2. The expression of genes related to lipid synthesis in algae cells was determined by fluorescent quantitative PCR, and the compositions and contents of fatty acids in Chlorella vulgaris oil were determined by GC-MS. The results showed that under the optimal radiation dose of 40 mJ/cm2, the biomass of Chlorella vulgaris was up to 515 mg/L, and the photosynthetic performance was maintained at a high level, Fv/Fm, Y(II), lipid content and lipid productivity reached 0.588, 0.594, 46% and 237 mg/L, respectively. Compared with the control, the lipid content and productivity increased by 39.40% and 39.22%, respectively. The relative expressions of accD and gapA genes were 2.5 times and 5 times higher than those of control respectively, and the relative expressions of Me and Pk genes changed little. Compared with the control, the content of monounsaturated fatty acids in the Chlorella vulgaris oil improved by 165% and reached 40.17%, which was cond ucive to the production of biodiesel and had higher practical application value.
