Abstract:
The oils were extracted from dried Tenebrio molitor and Eupolyphage sinensis Walker by subcritical extraction method. The acid value, saponification value, peroxide value, iodine value, fatty acid composition, vitamin E content, scavenging activities on DPPH· and ABTS+·, and the reducing power of the two kinds of oil were compared and analyzed. The results showed that the oil yields of Tenebrio molitor and Eupolyphage sinensis Walker were 30.3% and 14.8% respectively , and the two kinds of oil could meet the national standards for edible animal oil. The two kinds of oils had similar fatty acid compositions and contents. The vitamin E content expressed as α-tocopherol equivalents in Eupolyphage sinensis Walker oil was 1.95 mg/100 g, which was eight times of that in Tenebrio molitor oil. The IC50 of Eupolyphage sinensis Walker oil for scavenging DPPH· and ABTS+· were 78 mg/mL and 90.17 mg/mL, and the reducing power at a mass concentration of 250 mg/mL was 0.615. All of them were significantly higher than Tenebrio molitor oil(P<0.05). In summary, the comprehensive quality of Eupolyphage sinensis Walker oil extracted by subcritical extraction method was higher than that of Tenebrio molitor oil.
