Abstract: |
Linseed oil is rich in unsaturated fatty acids, which is easy to oxidize, so its shelf life is relatively short. With peroxide value as an evaluation index, the effects of packaging materials, storage environment and nitrogen filling of oil tank on the shelf life of linseed oil were studied. The results showed that the shelf life of linseed oil could be appropriately extended under the conditions of lightproof packaging materials and dark light. The best consumption time of linseed oil was limited to three months regardless of any packaging materials. The airtightness of the packaging bottle and the quality of capping in oil filling affected the shelf life of linseed oil to a certain extent. Compared with continuous nitrogen filling, the intermittent nitrogen filling of the oil tank could save energy, and they had the same effect on extending the shelf life of linseed oil. |
