Chinese Core Journal Essentials Overview entry notice

We hereby solemnly inform you that according to the principles and methods of bibliometric science, after the search, statistics and analysis of relevant literatures by researchers, and the review by subject experts, China Oils and Fats has been included in the 2020 edition (the 9th edition) of the Chinese Core Journal Essentials as a core journal of light industry, handicraft industry and life service industry. Chinese Core Journal Essentials was published by Peking University Press.According to the discipline system of Chinese Library Classification(CLC), Chinese Core Journal Essentials lists the core journals of 74 disciplines, and describes the core journals one by one. The cataloguing items include journal name, co-journal name, organizer, publication year, publication frequency, CLC number, ISSN number, CN number, postal code, editorial address, telephone number, website address, content introduction, etc. Selecting core journals is a kind of scientific research activity which uses scientific method to comprehensively evaluate the academic level and academic influence of the papers published in various journals in a certain period, and the research workload is huge. More than a dozen university libraries in Beijing, Literature and Information Center of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chongqing Weipu Information Co., LTD., Book and Newspaper Data Center of Renmin University of China, Electronic Magazine of Chinese Academic Journals (optical disc edition), Institute of Scientific and Technical Information of China, Beijing Wanfang Data Co., LTD., National Library and Beijing Century Superstar Information Technology Development Co., LTD More than 100 experts and journal workers participated in the study. The project team conducted in-depth research on the evaluation theory and evaluation method of core journals, further improved the evaluation method of core journals, made it more scientific and reasonable, and strive to make the evaluation results conform to objective reality. The methods of quantitative evaluation and qualitative evaluation are used to evaluate the core journals. The quantitative evaluation index system adopts 16 evaluation indexes. It includes the number of abstracts (full text, abstract), the rate of abstracts (full text, abstract), the number of citations, the number of other citations (journals, doctoral dissertations), the impact factor, the impact factor of other-citations, the 5-year impact-factor, the 5-year impact factor, the characteristic factor, the paper impact score, the paper citation index, the mutual citation index, the award or being included in the important retrieval system, the ratio of funded papers (national, provincial) 48 databases and abstracts were selected as statistical sources for evaluation indicators, with a total of more than 14.2 billion articles counted, involving 13 764 kinds of journals.After quantitative screening and qualitative review by experts, 1 990 core journals were selected from the Chinese journals being published in China. It should be pointed out in particular that the research results are only a reference book, mainly for the library and information industry, publishing industry and other users who need to evaluate journals, such as the library and information departments to provide reference help for Chinese periodical procurement and reader guidance services, and should not be used as evaluation standards.
